The game in one minute
In a conventional format, each participant receives three cards. A hand belongs to one of six broad categories. The category is compared first; the individual cards resolve comparisons inside that category. Some versions change ace order, use jokers or introduce a different objective, so identify the rule set before comparing hands.
For learning, use an ordinary deck or the no-money hand-ranking exercise on this website. You do not need a deposit, a game account or an APK to understand the hierarchy.
Teen Patti, Master Teen Patti and 3 Patti Master
| Term | What it can mean |
|---|---|
| Teen Patti / 3 Patti | The general three-card game or a broad app search |
| Teen Patti Master / Master Teen Patti | A brand-style search; publisher identity still needs checking |
| Teen Patti Master app / game | Usually a product query rather than a complete rules description |
| Gold / King | Labels that do not independently establish a release relationship |
The words alone cannot prove that two websites, APKs or support channels belong to the same company. For product searches, use our Gold and King identity guide.
A practical learning route
- Learn the six categories before studying table actions.
- Practise recognising three-card combinations without using money.
- Read the table rules for ace order, jokers and comparisons.
- Learn terms such as seen, blind, pack and show in context.
- Stop if the format, stakes or legal position is unclear.
What varies between tables?
A common source of confusion is whether A-2-3 ranks above A-K-Q. Published rule sets differ. The category order may be familiar while the order within a sequence changes. Another difference is whether a special variation replaces the normal objective altogether. Never transfer a rule from a casual table to an app without reading its instructions.
Our rules guide describes concepts and explicitly labels variation. It does not claim to reproduce a verified Teen Patti Master app rulebook. Pagat’s documented traditional rules ↗ provide a reference example, not a universal app specification.
Social learning and online money games
A paper-card explanation or a no-money exercise is not the same service as a game involving financial stakes. For current Indian regulatory context, read our legal information. An app label, age notice or “skill game” description is not proof of permission to offer it.
